What to Do While your Boyfriend is in Mexico

My boyfriend (still kind of strange to say/type/think!) left for Mexico this morning...without me. To be fair, he made the arrangements when we first started talking and he didnt know just how AMAZING I was going to turn out to be :) so it's totally ok that he went without me...with 2 other women. I'm not bitter at all. (actually they are just good friends of his and are both married). He sent me an email yesterday afternoon letting me know he made it and that "the water is beautiful." Is it mean of me to want him to get a sunburn? (I'm totally kidding!! mostly)

So, what do you do while your boyfriend/husband/sig. other is out of town? I could go out every night, drink it up, party with friends or, I could do nothing at all. I think my weekend will consist of mostly the latter. Is that what married guys/or guys who live with their girlfriends do when their wives go out of town for a few days? Lay on the couch, be lazy, eat junk food, and be a bum? (or is that just what I do the nights I'm not with Kevin?)

I have told myself every weekend since I moved into my apt that I need to finish painting the damn thing! honestly, I only have the two bedrooms left and its so ridiculous that I havent finished--to be fair to myself, I picked out the paint color a couple months ago so.....ok no excuse. I am determined to finish is this weekend though. A few weeks back, my mom came up to visit and brought me her Wii/Wii Fit. I told myself I wouldnt hook it up until I was done painting so it's just sitting there calling my name.

IT WILL HAPPEN! I SWEAR! Here is my "to do" list.
--paint!! PAINT!! PAINT!
--Clean the apt (dust/vacuum/mop--which reminds me, I need to buy a mop!)
--laundry
--hang up the rest of my art/decorate my bedroom, including hanging up some curtains. Swanky.

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. I'm doing a whole lot of laundry and trying to catch up on stuff that I've been meaning to do for the last few months.
Really, it's all quite fascinating. ;)

  2. Wow, you are motivated. In our former life, I was home alone 1-2 weekends/month during the forensics season, and all I ever did was take myself to restaurants that he didn't really like and rent romantic comedies or watch entire seasons of tv shows. Lazy.
